Sometimes, a written search description isn't enough to find that perfect piece our user needs for a flawless outfit.
Even with the app's best search mechanism, customers wanted the ability to upload a reference image to find a specific or similar item.
At the same time, we wanted the feature to be accessible for those who had something in mind but didn't have a photo on their phone.
Content design for this pop-up presented a unique challenge: how to explain the feature succinctly, avoiding both technical jargon and fashion terms that might be unfamiliar to users? The goal was to warmly invite users to try a new feature.
Two key attributes of Lojas Renner's brand voice — approachable and collaborative — were central to this copy. A slightly informal subtitle guides the user towards the desired action (searching an image in their gallery), while friendly microcopy assures them that we'll handle the rest.
In the pop-up's second fold, we also provided product images relevant to the user's style, for instances where they might not have a specific photo on their phone. This single interaction offers two pathways to a successful outcome.
