- I decided to go with a tablet frame for this one – I've been working a lot with phone screens and desktop windows, and many people use their tablets to watch streamings.
- I centralized the logo and decided not to add any menu or profile link at this point.
- For the animation, I would like to suggest something more quirky than a bouncing ball: what if we animated a disco ball (GROOVE, get it?) in a world globe support?
- Since the animation is not enough to locate the user at the process, I decided to add a countdown at the header. And as we are working with the idea of a globe and of changing locations online, I decided to go with "destination".
- The user knows how much time they'll invest at this screen, so why not be a bit goofy? I wrote the subheader over and over again, thinking wether I should say we're faster than planes or jets... but we're talking about 5-10 seconds. That's teleportation territory.
- I did some research and saw that most loading screens have the refresh CTA, and I opted to use a question with a link.
- Still, I'm not happy. The user should have an option other than the refresh link. I decided to add an arrow pointing to the left, indicating that it would take the user to the previous screen.
- By the end of it, I think it would be amazing to have that disco ball to stop and have many colorful lights getting out of it. The header should read something like "We're ready to Groove!" and the app should take the user directly to the next screen, no action required.
